Fine Art Framing & Secure Worldwide Shipping

Ensuring your art investment arrives in flawless condition, with museum-grade protection from my studio to your wall.

Cheryl Harrison Art offers premium, ready-to-hang, hand-crafted floating timber frames for original abstract paintings and fine art canvas prints. My framing service features high-quality archival materials, including sustainable Australian timber options, tailored specifically for art collectors seeking secure, professional presentation and reliable international shipping.

To eliminate the risk of transit damage and keep delivery costs viable, I ship all of my artwork as rolled canvas. Shipping fine art rolled inside a heavy-duty, reinforced artist tube is the gold standard for protecting delicate paint surfaces and canvas fibres during transport.

How Stretching & Framing Works

For Australian Collectors

If you choose to purchase your artwork framed, I manage the entire process seamlessly for you. Once the rolled canvas arrives safely at my professional framer, they will stretch the canvas and hand-craft your custom floating timber frame. Once complete, my framer will either personally deliver the finished statement piece straight to your home or liaise directly with you to provide full courier tracking details.

Global Protection

For International Collectors

To strictly minimise international shipping costs and completely eliminate the threat of custom glass or frame breakage overseas, all international sales are sold exclusively as rolled canvas. Your artwork will be safely sealed in an industrial-grade tube. Upon arrival, any reputable local frame shop in your city can easily stretch the canvas and frame it to suit your specific interior design requirements.

Museum-Standard Transit Protection

I believe buying contemporary abstract art online should be an exciting, stress-free experience. By specialising in rolled canvas shipping, I ensure your artwork is fundamentally protected from the physical impacts of courier handling.

  • Wrapping: I wrap all of my paintings in a layer of bubble wrap then encase them in a plastic sleeve for protection against any moisture.
  • Heavy-Duty Tubes: I use thick-walled, crush-proof shipping tubes sealed tightly at both ends against environmental elements.
  • 100% Insured Tracking: Every shipment is comprehensively insured and tracked, keeping you fully informed from my studio door to your destination.

FAQ's - Commissions

How much does a custom abstract art commission cost?

The investment for a custom abstract art commission depends entirely on the physical size of the canvas and the complexity of the project. I work transparently with collectors and interior designers to build cohesive palettes that match their spatial design requirements. For full details on the timeline, step-by-step development, and past project examples, please view my Commissions Page.

FAQ's - Framing & Shipping

How are large original canvas paintings shipped?

Oversized original canvases require specialised handling. All of my artwork is shipped in a roll to save costs so I can pass on those savings to my collectors. I offer framing for all of my sales within Australia. Once a buyer decides on their frame type, I  ship their artwork directly to my framer from my Port Douglas studio using trusted courier services. Once my framer receives the canvas and the artwork is framed they liaise with my collectors with either personal delivery details or door-to-door tracking  (anywhere in Australia - including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin and Hobart). All international purchases are shipped in a roll (no framing offered) via DHL Express with full insurance and tracking details.

How do I get my artwork stretched and framed in Australia?

I take care of it for you. When you order your painting within Australia, you make your selections. If you select a floating frame option, I will ship the rolled canvas safely to my trusted professional framer. They complete the high-end stretching and floating timber framing, then arrange a personal delivery or contact you directly with tracked courier details.

Why do you ship international orders as rolled canvases instead of framed or stretched paintings?

Shipping paintings as a rolled canvas is the single safest and most cost-effective method for international transit. Fully framed or stretched canvases are highly vulnerable to being punctured, dented, warped, or broken due to the complexities and rough handling of global shipping. Rolling the canvas securely in a heavy-duty tube eliminates these structural risks almost entirely while avoiding extreme shipping costs and high customs fees. This guarantees your artwork arrives in perfect condition and allows you to support a local craftsman in your hometown for the final stretching and framing.
