Floating Frames
My original artworks and canvas prints are stretched canvas artworks and are framed with premium Australian hardwood timber.
For me, floating frames are the perfect balance; an elegant presentation without overpowering the artwork work. The clean, fine profile, features a shadow gap between the frame and canvas, creating a floating appearance.
*I’ve tried to recreate the appearance of the frames in these images, please note, the thickness and proportions will vary according to the size of the artwork.
Frame Specifications and Dimensions
My frames are custom made to order and are constructed and delivered to your door by my professional framer.
The profile and depth vary according to the size of your artwork but as a guide, the front face profile is in the range of 15-23mm with an overall depth from the back to the front of the frame/painting of approx. 35-50mm.
Myself and my framer do strive for the highest possible finish, whether that be the artwork itself or the craftsmanship within the frame and fixings eg.concealment of all screws and staples to the rear of the frame.
I do supply all of my artworks with floating frames, if you would like an artwork without the frame, please contact me for a customised quote.
Will the frame dimensions add to the advertised artwork dimensions?
Yes, the frame will increase the dimensions to your selected artworks. Add 2-3 cm to each side, which will increase the final dimensions by 4-6cm in both height and width.
For example, if the canvas itself is 100cm wide x 100cm high the framed size will be approximately 105cm (W) x 105cm (H).
